Courtney

Courtney has always had a strong love for animals and always knew her career would involve them one way or another! Courtney grew up with cats in the home and started riding and showing horses at the age of 10. She helped out on multiple different farms through the years and grew a strong love for animal behavior and learning how they communicated through body language.

Courtney began working in an equine clinic back in 2016 while attending North Carolina State University. She made the switch to a small animal practice in 2017 before graduating with a bachelors in Animal Science with a Veterinary Bioscience sub-concentration in 2018. Courtney moved back to Virginia in 2019 and continued her career in veterinary medicine and taking on leadership roles along the way. Courtney joined the Fork Union Animal Clinic team in 2025. She has recently gone back to school to obtain an associates in Veterinary Technology. Her favorite part of her job is connecting with clients and giving them a better understanding of the care we provide their furry family members!

Courtney lives in the area with her husband and two children. They share their home with two German Shepherd mixes and four rescue cats. The kids enjoy going to see their horse Finney on the weekends! Outside of work Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, reading new books and taking her kids on magical adventures!
