Like most veterinary professionals, Candice grew up loving all things furry and feathered. That love kicked into overdrive when she rode her first horse at age 9.  After graduating from Sweet Briar College (Holla, Holla!) in 2006, Candice spent several wonderful years in equine medicine before moving to and falling in love with small animal practice. She has been a part of the Fork Union Animal Clinic team since 2010. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician and the Hospital Manager, she has combined her passion for business management and her love of veterinary medicine. You will find Candice in all areas of the hospital. Her favorite part of working at FUAC is supporting a team of like-minded, animal lovers to care for our patients and their people.  

Candice and her family live on a farm and share their home with a terrier mix named Possum, a Paint QH named Mabel and various farm animals. When she’s not working, she can be found tending her collection of 75+ houseplants, reading, horseback riding, canoeing, camping, and spending time with her family (this loosely translates to working on the farm).
