Dr. Philman

Dr. Kendra Philman is originally from Bell, Florida, which is a small farming town in the north central part of the state. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida then attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kendra worked at a mixed animal practice in Williston, Florida for seven years before joining Fork Union Animal Clinic in 2010. She has a special interest in dermatology and surgery. Dr. Kendra currently has two cats, Francesca and Slim. In her free time, she is busy restoring her late-1800s house in Charlottesville.

Dr. Rethemeyer

Dr. Ashley Rethemeyer grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland near Ocean City. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Salisbury University in 2003. Dr. Rethemeyer attended Vi rginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA for her veterinary degree and began practicing in 2007. She resided in northern Virginia from 2007 to 2010 focusing on small animal medicine and ultrasonography. In 2010, Dr. Ashley relocated to Charlottesville with her husband and Boston Terrier, Dega. In her free time, Ashley enjoys going to the beach, reading and gardening. On July 6, 2012 they welcomed their new edition to the family Ryan.

Dr. Grayson

Dr. Sara Grayson is originally from San Diego, California, but grew up on the Jersey Shore with her four younger siblings. She attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated with a dual undergraduate degree in Spanish and Biology in 2011. Dr. Grayson then moved to the Midwest to attend Purdue University for her degree in Veterinary Medicine, which she received in 2016. Dr. Grayson has interests in dentistry, ophthalmology and internal medicine. When she is not working, she enjoys relaxing with her fur-babies (Lucy, a chocolate Labrador, and Peyton, a domestic longhair), reading, photography and traveling.
